I ran into CircleUp Education at NACRJ's 9th National Conference. They offered an opportunity to participate in a pilot Restorative Conversations Training, and I excited to share I just completed the training. First note, the facilitators, Tyrone and Tiffany, really took their time developing a fantastic training that could prepare someone with zero background in knowledge in RJ to hold a Restorative Conversation. I really valued the examples of the application of Restorative Conversations in many contexts, criminal and non-criminal, such as the workplace, school/campus, and CLS. The training not only equips you with the knowledge and skills to practice professionally, but reminds you that there is always a person at the end conflict and harm, and that these practices can be used in your personal life as much as your professional life.
